Mid Calder boys’ football team need players!
A Mid Calder boy’s football team could be forced to pull out of their league due to lack of players.
Mid Calder Colts 2003 hope to start playing in the West Lothian Soccer Sevens development structure in March or April 2012 – but they've only got half-a-dozen in the team and they desperately need more.
Club vice-chairman, Derek Adams, said: "We need nine or ten to register and we need to get them quickly.
"The boys we have have been with us for 18 months and have come through our soccer school and it would be with much regret if we had to let them go.
"We are a community club and have been going since 2003.
“We now have four 11-a-side teams and three Soccer Sevens teams and more than 30 Kids at Soccer School."
The team train on Mondays at 6pm-7pm at East Calder Sports Centre in the winter months and Mid Calder Primary in the spring/summer.
Parents of youngsters born in 2003, who are interested in playing for Mid Calder Colts, should contact Derek on derek-adams@btconnect.com
